Author Topic: False alarm.  (Read 520 times)

Ok, so I restarted my computer and a routine AVG scan booted up. It detected 19 threats, but they turned out to be false alarms as I stopped the scan and ran HitManPro, then TTDSKiller and then RogueKiller. All scans found no threats. However, I rebooted the AVG scan and currently I am at 88% percent with 620 threats found. I'm going to let the scan finish nonetheless, but what should I do?

Scan finished. Oh god.

False alarm, AVG reported over 1,000 files were locked and could not be tested.

Haha, very funny.

Updated OP, also ran another program.

Went back to check, finished with 1138 threats detected. How?

Doesn't having a bunch of anti-virus programs end up causing them to interfere with each other?

These were one-time scans while AVG was dormant.
