People are usually immature when they are 11. I openly admitted to being a furry when I was in 7th grade. I was bullied once (some girl accused me of being into animal research because I said I was a furry) and then I realized that I was doing something really wrong, so I stopped.
It's many parties' fault:
1) The child should've told his parents about the fact that he was being bullied. The child should've also realized he was doing something really wrong after he got bullied.
2) The parents should've noticed his depressed feelings and attempt to help him by sending him to therapy so he can get advice.
3) The bullies are stupid and will probably grow up with a minimum-wage job.
4) The school district should've kept an iron fist and implemented fear tactics to stop people from being bullied.
I'd give him a big hug and become close friends with him if I knew him in real life. I really hope his brain didn't get damaged to (or beyond) the point of mental handicapation.
It's kinda like say, an emotional immune system.
People who get exposed to a certain amount though a natural environment/vaccines are obviously better off than those who have never built up any immunity.
But obviously if you get it too bad and don't have a strong immune system it can make you sick or kill you.
I've almost never been bullied and I probably wouldn't care if I was. I would get annoyed by it after a while, though.
