except that badspot hinted in his last replies that he will try to do something.
doesn't matter if the functions are not in blockland yet, they will probably soon be.
steam gave that boost for the game where it included new features such as chatting with friends, groups and steam friends, that strikes the majority of what RTB is used for. add-on system? we have the forums. we have addons posted here and will soon get an addition with the workshop;

the rest will probably be put in as time goes by (the ID lookup and other small features)
rtb is done, its not coming back because we have better ways to handle what it does. i am certain no one here will die without rtb for a period of time before badspot adds those little features in.

except on blockland, almost every blockland player was listed on the RTB chat list. I could easily hit info and find out blockland related things, like their avatar, blockland name, ID, and what server they are playing on. I could find out if they are working on something singleplayer, playing multiplayer, or maybe hosting their own server. I click info on someone in steam, and I get this. It says he's not in a game, yet he's clearly playing on ATFClan's TownRPG. RTB's chat/friend system is tuned to blockland, giving blockland related info beyond what steam gives. Right now on the official blockland group's page, there are about 120 people playing games, and only about 20 of them are playing blockland. Compared to RTB, where there were hundreds of people in the RTB chat, all playing blockland.

We've always had the forums. By that reasoning, RTB never should've had an add-on system, and Badspot never should've recognized how useful it was by integrating it into the forums. RTB add-on system was categorized, supporting ratings, had a guaranteed download link, had content packs of similar add-ons, offered top files of the month, gave changelog alerts in game, and allowed an easy private files system. forums does none of that. workshop offers a limited amount of that.
Workshop is not a full fledged alternative. The best options is for badspot to remake an RTB like system into the default game. What i'm saying is that he never announced his desire to do that.

or if you know them as a friend on steam, you can just ask what their doing or for their information if you don't already know it. if you see someone in game you ask them for their steam account and send a friend invite. over time people will join the blockland group on steam and it will go from there. these things didn't happen with rtb over night either. also those people who were all on RTB, weren't necessarily playing blockland. they were most likely afk + the people who also were playing blockland that dont have rtb.
i think what we have for now is just as good as rtb and might allow for better things. it just takes a bit of more caring, like the add-on section, you either care enough to constantly update your thread with information and download links or you don't. those comment systems or small things for addons like top lists and ratings were pretty useless. i never used them myself and i think others never did either. i ignored ratings, comments and popular mods.
also for private file system, we can just PM files to each other. most of what RTB did, existed before, it just made it a tad bit more convenient to do it. and for now we just have to keep waiting, it's a one man job of what badspot is doing + rotondos support. he sees money making opportunities in this game, if people want it that much he will probably find time to implement those small features in.
rtbs only real purpose was convenience. making already existing things a bit easier to do with a touch of its own magic

well looking up every users game aliases was sure fun, it was also completely useless Lol.
I can't even think of a legit need for a user list
