I don't trust this application. It's not furling, I can't prove it's happening, and there are sections of the code I just can't read, but there appears to be code to phone home, contact facebook, twitter, and god knows who else, the code isn't open source, and the website hosting it looks stupid as well as slightly sketchy.

This app was made using something called "phonegap" as best as I can tell, which is an apparently legitimate tool designed to allow programmers to write android/iphone/etc apps in HTML and JavaScript, which is not native for either of those platforms. It's a great idea, but they include all kinds of spare stuff that just isn't neccesary, and I don't trust them.

I was going to say that I couldn't actually find any reference in the app to "http://www.blockland.us/Blockland.rss" therefore I didn't believe it was legit, but then I found it. I'm brown townyzing the actual furling-created code now.

PS: Furling, it's not you, just choose a less stuffty, more open source app creation utility. Like doing it for real with Java. I don't a single loving person on this forum with an app on my device, or a program on my computer, and I don't think anyone else should either unless they can flat out read the code.

Or you could just have it work so I could subscribe a blockland feed through the RSS app I already use

I know where you got the feed from furling. I'm saying that I can't actually find where in the app it actually uses that url. I'm implying that it may not actually do that. I know you're not stupid enough to knowingly release a malicious app onto the forums, but why the forget does it need camera, vibration, wake lock, precise and coarse gps location, read phone status, usb storage control, and locating other accounts on the device?

It has no use for any of these. I am now firmly stating that I do not trust this application.
Again, it's not furling, it's just his poor choice in backends.
