My hardware isnt made for windows 8. I got hardware from my 95 computer and added it onto my new hardware which was made for windows 7. Nothing I bought was new except an external hdd

why did you get windows 8 to get a windows 95 theme

The way an OS looks isn't the only thing that changes in an update lol.

well what does the theme even do. do you still get the new start menu or no

Lol no, it completely removes the start menu fullscreen bullstuff and brings back the other one from previous windows.

well
ew, but okay

I liked windows 8

idk why everybody bandwagons on it and goes "ogm its too much unlike windows because no start menu"

It's a lot easier to navigate imo

It might be just preference but you can install an addon or dl windows 8.1 srs

windows 8.1 literally just adds a button that opens the fullscreen start menu, so if you want the old one another program (like Start8) is required

And you don't need to pay for either so I don't see the problem

Not necessarily another program, if you replace system files with a modified version you can achieve this without using 3rd party software.

startisback is also good

I'm not saying windows 8 is a bad OS, just that Windows 7 is better supported, runs better, runs faster, doesn't have that annoying start screen, and generally functions better if you're using a mouse and keyboard (as I'm sure most of you are). Win 7's only real weakness is touchscreen compatibility, which just happens to be Win 8's only strength. But if you have a touchscreen computer the choice is obvious.
