Friends list without rtb

ik that march 1st ephi will be leaving. But if rtb will be over, it might not mean that there would not be a friends list.

but if this wont be done, will it mean that the updates will be aimed for steam for the join game features?

If you're willing to wait, BAM will include a (actually properly done) chat system and friends list.
Your best option is to just use Steam for now (or anything else really).
