Author Topic: things that I dont like about the good guy  (Read 1314 times)

and?
Just pointing out the "good guy gives bad guy second chance" thingy. Nothing bad. I was not dissapointed with that.

"Even though you almost conqueored the Earth Kingdom and the Water tribe with your ruthless Fire nation army and being like Riddler putting people into prisons and trying to conqueor the entire Earth I am not going to kill you instead I will take your bending away Ozai".
The thing is that Aang never killed anyone in the first place, and all the avatars before him had led a depressing life for deciding that the only way to rid evil is to kill it. The idea of making someone live with their failures is a harsher consequence than death, and it's never shown that Ozai ever returns to power at all. Furthermore this sets up Korra's first season as someone else is abusing the ability to take the bending away, which still shows that actions can have consequences. The difference however is that the removal of bending can always be reversed as it is just a blocking of chi, and straight up murdering someone, well, isn't.

Well yea I forgot that ATLA was aimed well....everyone? But you are right about letting the person live but taking their bending away so they know the consequences of being a douchebag. And I forgot that airbenders wub peace more than murder. God I gotta watch the entire series again so I can remember.

i don't want ghoststar to be our president for sure
sTOp :(

And I get what you meant to as opposed to humans. But possibly the other humans did want peace less than murder but the Airbenders liked peace that they never murdered which explains why they went dangerously close to extinction.

I hate how in some movies with a lot of death, a normal guy will die from a small injury while the bad guy can survive a much more lethal injury, despite them both being pretty much equal in power

Yea but ATLA is a cartoon/anime whatever it is therefore it does not need that rule that much.
