one purpose of your bank account is to let you share money between your characters, alongside keeping it safe from other players
the only way to keep your money "safe" is to put it on your character every time you quit playing. but that isn't really safe, because your cousin can just go on your character whenever he wants. so, like I said, the only way to keep your money safe is to not allow your cousin to play on your account
