Author Topic: Free multiplayer linux FPS games? (doesn't need voice chat)  (Read 3099 times)

I haven't tried it, but Loadout looks like fun.

Also, I don't want to look like I'm advertising, but I have a giveaway with a bunch of multiplayer FPS games, like Borderlands and Interstellar Marines. You could apply for one of them.

Why do people use Linux for gaming? What makes it better than Windows?

This. Also, Cube Engine (might be the same thing, I forget).

There's also Alien Arena.

I don't understand why people think that a lack of games for a system means you shouldn't game on it. People make games for Linux, right? They work, right? Is it ok to play them? Oh no, most certainly not, Linux isn't meant for gaming. Not saying that it's a good idea to make Linux your main OS if you are looking to play a lot of games on it, but there's no good reason to post negative against someone who is looking for said games.

"Windows is only used for playing games. If you do anything else you must go to jail and die now immediately okay."

windows CAN do anything else. linux dosnt have the luxury to claim such a thing. not even close.

Better interface and workspace.
Easier and broader range of customization.
Crowdsource support rather than a $corporation$.
Better framerate and faster processing for games because they don't have the OS bogging it down.

Just curious.

How much do you actually know about the technical differences between Windows and Linux and any other OS out there? I'm tired of beating around the bush with people who think they know all about Linux when really they just don't have a clue.
