the implication behind quotes is whoever the quote is coming from is A: high-minded, intellectual or renowned enough to be worth listening to and B: mutually respected to the point that anyone who can quote them on command is high-minded, intellectual and at least educated enough to be able to repeat what they've said- implying you have taken whatever lesson or information that they are trying to convey to heart- whenever the occasion arises there are several issues here first that's not an original thought, because there is an entire media genre that is not only designed to appeal to outpact's demographic but is popular enough for most people in outpact's demographic to not only know this information but feel that it is cliche and unbelievable enough to be actively mocked by other shows in the same genre second he is implying that he is smart because he is able to quote himself, which means essentially he is smart because he says he's smart third he's doing all of this unironically, as if everyone else is too stupid to notice that he's trying to pull aircraft-grade bullstuff and is thereby implicitly putting himself on an even higher pedestal by lowering the ground underneath everyone else |
