Will Steam Workshop support be a thing?

I've been curious about it lately, I really want to re-upload my add-ons where I can update it like I could back in RTB, does anyone know if Badspot mentioned something about it?

It could be a thing in the future, unless BAM creates some add-on hosting/updating gizmo and shoves steam out of the way as an option.
