So how about a steam free weekend?

negative keys sounds like a good idea. we could also have negative keys show up in the player list as 'FREE' like how lan shows up as 'LAN'
i don't know how these free weekends work, though. i'm afraid that someone could simply copy the blockland folder and paste it somewhere else and continue to play it past the weekend.

Why not incrementing negative keys? For example, the first five free steam users: -1, -2, -3, -4, -5
And they're tied to steam accounts so being banned from servers work.

Badspot should really just make the game try to set it to your steam name, and if not then do blockhead lol.

-1 as a bl_id will not work, it will kick the player.. Already tried it when I tested fake bl_ids a week ago

if this free weekend thing is something badspot would want to do, i'm sure badspot would fix this problem if he decides to use negative blids
