Author Topic: Is it okay to fail these classes in 8th grade?  (Read 3491 times)

why would religion be a class unless its a catholic school or something
I'm going to a jewish school as an undercover atheist and there's jewish history, jewish foundations and hebrew classes. It all depends on the religiousness (if that word exists) of the school. And let me tell you, passing Hebrew was a pain.

setro, prepare for 11th grade or you're forgeted up the ass.

Wait. Religion class?

They make you learn about god and jesus?

Edit: Assuming its a Christian class.

Yeah but you're a case, and cases are seldom representative of the normal outcome for a student. The fact of the matter is that SAT scores and AP credits are important to colleges and college is important to your future.
The importance of taking the SAT or ACT really depends on the region/school. The coasts like SAT, the dirty interior lands like the ACT, although every public 4 year college will accept either test. AP however is worth doing imo if you're at least competent in the subject, as you can get college credits for FREE. Dunno how that could be seen as a waste.

How's community college?
Okay, a lot of fat people and smokers. Hipsters, lgbt, pro-life protesters, peta, the odd bunch, ect. A few more classes away from getting my Associates Degree from Criminal Justice. Rykuta's advice is still pretty bad though.

Or it is a class that goes over religions across the world? There is lots of them you know.

The class is called religion, not Christianity. I think people need to learn more about world religions, there's a lot of misunderstanding and intolerance surrounding some of them.

Oh sorry. I thought setro was forced to take some sort of bible class. I wouldn't mind but still, sorry didn't read correctly.

When has failing a class ever been okay
getting a C or a D is one thing
getting a 34 in a class isn't even pitiful, shame on you

studying is my pet peeve
Have fun NOT going to college

one time a guy in my school had a 0%

one time a guy in my school had a 0%
There was this one senior who rode my bus when I was a sophmore. Real prick, he had a REALLY bad attitude, was NOT in the slightest bit attractive, I'm 100% sure he was virgin, fat, and holy cow he was as dumb as you could get without getting an IEP (learning disability)

One of the stories I heard about him, was that a teacher asked him to take a test with the rest of the class. He said no. So she just gave him a zero right then and there. Then, for he duration of the test, he was a smartass, so not only did she write him up and send him to 2106 (our school's punishment... center..? idk lol I've never had to go for infractions, only to deliver documents.) but she also gave him a SECOND 0 test grade

Needless to say, teacher's cannot do that anymore, and he didn't go to college. Last time I saw him, he was handing me donuts from Dunkin' Donuts.

my religion class is like only catholic
sure, we learn some history about the catholic church, like popes and stuff, but it's kinda useless

Did you CHOOSE to take the class?
If not, then this is one of very few cases where I don't blame you
But if you chose it, tough

according to my school if you fail spanish you will just take it in high school (which gladly i passed)

i never had a religion class so i guess it's not needed

others are most likely needed
