What he means is Everyone involved in earth command wars knows about them, but this is utility space, areas that arnt aware of the war and shouldn't be. So they wouldn't know who they are.

wtf why would you put a utility ship out in the middle of your own orbit and not tell them about enemies that are assaulting earth??
