Yeah JSA, I'm in my second week.
I guess Archery is what I really enjoy to do.

Unfortunately there's not exactly an easy entrance into those two though.

Just consider how many famous TV and Movie actors started off in Panto, or theatre.


My younger brother has quite a similar approach as you, but instead of TV and Film (which I think he would like to do eventually), he wants to get into the RSC, and has Theatre set in his sights as his goal for the future and university.
But of course, living in Devon, there's not much opportunity down here to just jump into theatre productions.
His only option, which is much easier, is Panto. But he's too stubborn to go into those.

He knows that experience is as important in acting ability and education, but he won't put the time into it.

Really, as an actor, you should be taking every opportunity, in order to build experience and connections.

I knew someone would comment on the style of my approach to acting. Truth is I've studied at a major drama school in London for two years and I have been with my agent for about 4 or 5 years.
It's a perfectly reasonable approach and I've done a fair bit of work seeing as I've been mainly working in film and TV.

Having pocket money from the odd acting piece here and there is fine, but it's not an income.
As I said, education goes some way, but experience and connections go further. You should be out there trying to get noticed as much as possible. You are in London after all, undoubtedly the best place in the country to be if you're looking to get found for acting work.

Yeah but its not as easy as you think, I'm doing all I can do actually GET IN to circles.
For instance, I just shot a TV advert for the popular drinks, Oasis, and I asked for all the production crew's emails so I can nag them with my CV ('Resume' for you americigarettes)

I just got back from a cycle, did about 15 miles down the river to Hampton Court (that brother Henry VIII lived there) and back.
Tomorrow I'll be going to buy a bow and then in the afternoon I'll go to an archery range to sign up :)

I do have a lot of spare time. I get out of class Monday to Friday at 11:00 AM, which is earlier than I would wake up if I didn't have class. So, effectively, 100% of my time is free/spare time since I don't have a job or other obligations. My life sounds a lot like yours, except I only club on weekends.
