Author Topic: Furdle bans straight away  (Read 3239 times)

yeah in that case, I don't see any problem with banning whoever you want, tbh
i recall he admitted that he leaves his server open without a password because he's too lazy to add one and tell all the people he actually wants on his server to join
so he just perma bans anyone who he doesn't want, which seems like a much bigger hassle

so either it's a. he loves the drama or b. he figures that dramas like these will eventually tell everyone that they just shouldn't join his server unless they're his buds (or c. both), so whatever works, it's still pretty silly.

noedit:
forgot to finish that off with a "he also removes all the bans after the project"
but then i found the quote so uh here

I dont want a passworded or whitelisted server.
While the server was work in progress I had it open so people could join, some of which who I banned immediately. When the server was finally finished I lifted all the bans and stopped giving out frequent bans.
When I am building a project I do not want people I don't like coming into my server as they distract me and other builders on my server.

If you have a serious problem about how I run my server here's a tip,
don't join.

Furdle seems to have a defective knack for making preemptive bans.

I have literally explained this a million times, the smart ones in the community agree this is a fair system, while the less intelligent beings complain that its unfair.
Let me start by saying, this is my server. I am hosting it on my computer, using my internet, with my project. I think that much reserves me the right to ban who I like.
I leave the server open so friends can join (as some friends I don't have on steam, they will have no way to ask me the password, especially if they don't have a forums account)
My server is in a WIP stage, I am trying to get the most out of myself and my friends who are helping, so I do what I call "Ban Zone"
If you're not familiar with this, which you probably aren't, let me explain how it works.
Counter productivity activity does more damage than you think. If someone is being a hassle to myself or my builders, they will become distracted and lose interest or concentration in the current project.
This has a snowballing effect, so to eliminate this issue, I use "Ban Zone".
This means, I will ban anyone coming to my server who I think may disrupt our concentration.
Bans are usually permitted to people who have a bad reputation, or people who prove to be a waste of space, for example if somebody joined and typed "HEY GUYS I JUST GOT A NEW RAINBOW PONY TOY!!11!!! :3 *tips fedora*" then obviously no contribution to the server will be positive and it will land you a perma.
All permanent bans ARE lifted once the project goes into an open beta or opens entirely. Even if you're the biggest troll on forums or you have banned me from your server for a pathetic reason, you will not be banned on sight once the project is open.

Hopefully this clears the confusion with me and my admins handing out bans.
If you still have an issue with how I run my servers then I guess you should probably just not ever enter one.

Seems a bit harsh but I guess it works

getting banned from a server for a few days/weeks while its being made isn't exactly the end of the world.

I think it'd be worse to get banned from Zapk's server(s)
You don't get unbanned from those places.
Also Tezuni's

Allow me (as a relatively new admin on the ZapK system) to point out that the list is actually really small. If I had to make a guess, maybe 10 people, but that's on the props server, I'm not too familiar with the other servers and whether or not their ban lists are connected.

I am banned from the Lava Rising server. I tried to appeal to get unbanned, but Zapk hates Christians I think.

Ya I am not really mad about it. I've been banned since around the time it originally came up.
It was shortly after he stopped hosting that Prop Hunt.
It's been so long xD

Can you give me the link to this ban appeal? I just looked on ZapKraft Forums under the Ban Appeal section, nothing.

but Zapk hates Christians I think.
The fact that you had to bring this up like it was some kind of valid point makes you look handicapped. Your religion could only be the cause of your ban if you were rubbing it in his face "GOD WIL BAN U FOR BANNING ME U SINNER."

Why don't you supply the actual context of your ban, and I will personally look into it for you.

Welp, the Supreme Chancellor of Blockland has spoken the understandable truth
