i dunno about you but in my experience you don't exactly have that much control in source games
you either go fast or you fall off
its more or less the same thing here except its easier to recover from speed loss imo

from what i played of the bl version (maybe this is an outdated version, i'll have to try it again soon) you have less control of vertical position on ramps than you do in source and yes it's easier to gain speed but i feel like that's one of the difficulties in source that makes the whole thing so rewarding to some people

I can turn around in like 30 feet in source but I can't here unless a ramp is turning me.
