Chances are you will be playing it a year from now. The entire game has clock-based events, meaning that new stuff will happen every month/season. I bought the game in June and I still actively play it.

The experience is much better however if you know someone else who's willing to get into the game, because then you'd feel more inclined to pop in the game, and you both can work off eachother to get rewards and such.
