I lost most of sense of smell in an accident.

There are only about 4 things I can truly smell, one of them I swear to god is purple.
I don't know why, but there's a smell that I can only identify as purple.

Who can taste smells?
I can, and it can stab me in the back.

While biking to my local subway, I have to pass a pile of horse stuff. (there is a place where horses live not too far away, I'm surprised the city didn't take it away yet)
The first time I passed it, I held my mouth open. (I have asthma, and I was catching my breath at the time)

I tasted the smell of the horse stuff, and I almost vomited on the spot.

From then on, I just plug my nose and hold my breath.
