i don't really understand why you wouldn't take meds that are being prescribed.

look, it might not affect you directly, but being an all-around angry and maybe not unhappy but apathetic person affects the moods of those around you (for lack of a better term, don't be a "debby downer"). you said you don't really have a lot of friends, which is probably why your parents are getting involved: because they want to see you happy and they want to see you have friends. if you're okay with not having a lot of friends, then you should probably let them know that, but just know that having an attitude like you apparently have is not only affecting you.
