Author Topic: Theory - a simplistic working train.  (Read 966 times)

As you all know, trains are a possibility in Blockland. Thanks to Chrisbot's popular train mod, we can have working trains.
However
These trains take a while to set up, and are quite jumpy to use.
I thought of a new concept for blockland trains, which may or may not work.
The train vehicle, as seen in this stuffty picture I found on google images is the train I am basing the concept on.

So, we know that they cant jump rails like this..

But what if the rails were made out of custom bricks which are curved slightly to give this..

Would the train de-rail? Has this been done before?
I want to hear your feedback on the matter.
Also, please praise me on my awesome photoshop skills. dem red lines yo!

I'm pretty sure this already exists as part of the normal mod

They're too long to set up and are jumpy

Curving the bricks doesn't help.

And no, a curved collision box to work as an actual 'rail' wouldn't work either. Blockland isn't a complex physics simulation. These things do work in roblox though...
