While the boy was unscathed, Florida’s Department of Children and Families is investigating the incident.
While the father was being pretty reckless, this is a total waste of time for CPS to try and get him prosecuted for something that didn't result in any problems.

well
this is true actually.

Being too ballsy teaching your kid sports /=/ probable cause to invade someone's private life on suspicion of abuse.

Because pushing your kid down a skate ramp is paramount to attempted murder.

The father did something that he thought would hurt the kid, the outcome shouldnt change the case as long as it was intentional

brown townogy
Your brown townogy sucked because it centered on the idea that pushing a kid down a 5 foot skate ramp can kill them. I give it 3/10.

I'm pretty sure that the father was just trying to get his cautious kid to 'man up' and  skate down the ramp. It's just a slightly more reckless version of pushing a kid off a diving board into a pool. No one's going to die.

Think, 'pushing a kid down skate ramp' versus 'breaking a kid's knees with a tire iron'.

One is questionable parenting, one is abuse. Only the latter should be investigated by the police.

Laughed my ass off. Get over it, the child isn't going to die or even get any serious injuries. A couple of scrapes at most. I've been pushed off 7 foot ramps and landed head first (w/ helmet) and loving laughed about it for days.
