Emil's Useful Brick-packs (new + old)

Author Topic: Emil's Useful Brick-packs (new + old)  (Read 24744 times)

Hello Blockland, I have some bricks for you!

So, basically in the past years I have created 3 pretty useful
brick-packs and put them up for download, and as we all know
RTB shut down so I'm re-uploading all 3 brick-packs + a new one...
So prepare for some page-stretch!

Even if you already have one or more of these packs, I suggest you
download them again from this topic, they include fixes and new icons and so on...

Here we have the good ol' Vertical Plate Pack

Oh look! It's the Small Ramps Pack!

Got your frames prepared? Its the Glass Panes!

Looks good huh? But wait, there's more! (bear with me)

Introducing the Tile Plates! (like never before!)

They reflect the sunlight like the studs on regular bricks!
And their textures doesn't rotate with the brick like the print plate!

GIVE THEM TO ME ALREADY

Okay okay, here are the downloads:
Vertical Plate Pack
Small Ramps Pack
Glass Panes
Tile Plates

If you find a bug make sure you have the newest version of the brick packs, if the bug is still there
you can write it in the comments

Most useful bricks I've seen

(including One Random Brick pack)

Emil; revolutionising details in Blockland.

Can you add the small fillers required to make diagonal trusses with the small ramps?

Well, I'll look into it, but I can't promise any corner- and edge-versions

Just these 4 bricks would be enough

Edit: 12 bricks, they would be for all orientations just like the small ramps themselves.

Maybe also have them in the same sizes as the actual small ramps, so here would be a 1 stud and 2 stud wide version.

I think I can only make 8 bricks, if you see these "schematics"

Edit: The "2x1, 2x2" part is meant to be 1x wide and 2x wide, like the "1x1, 1x2" part as well

err right the flat ones already fit. oops.

For those that you say have a too big change in angle, why is that? You should just 'make them fit' so the 1x1 goes from 1 to 1/2 studs and the 1x2 goes from 1 to 1/2 studs, then the small fillers can be 1/2 stud wide just like the ramp. That would also make them fit on vertical print plates, making them possible 'adapters' between vertical plates and bricks, a least for walls.

I'd go ahead and say do the same for all the others, to make them perfect adapters from 1/2 stud to 1 stud. It's a tiny change and makes them fit adjacent to vertical prints. The flat ones already work like this, I often use them as adapters from a plate to 2 plates / a stud.

I don't think that tiny change would break any designs that use them, if it is even noticeable.

What program did you use for those sketches btw?

those tile plates are lovey

I used Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5

I love your bricks Emil.

Okay here are the bricks I plan to do:

In that image the bricks are clearly invading eachother's "grid space" which they of course wont when they're in BL

Edit: I don't hope I get banned for discussing bricks on my own addon topic

Double Edit: I didn't account for height in the lower section with those 4 bricks, so if height is in, then it'll be 12 + the 8 others
