You quickly swap out the weapons, putting the scythe on hold.
You cloak to dodge their laser..
You then fire two salvos from the scatter laser. One hits the shields, one hits the shields room, doing no damage. However, the enemies manage to bring their shields back up while you fire your hull beam.
They then fire back, blowing your pilot room!
Your second pair of salvos both miss. Your laser can't pierce the shields alone.
And then a hit to the engines before we can reload!
You change your mind about the engines, finding it more critical to fire at the weapons instead.
The first salvo hits the shields, the second salvo misses. The beam hits the weapons room and the adjacent room, bringing their beam weapon offline.
