Author Topic: does anyone else wake up right before their alarm goes off?  (Read 1183 times)

this happens to me like almost every time I use my alarm. I have it set for 5:35, 7:00 or 10:00 AM usually, but it seems I wake up like 5 minutes before the alarm were to go off. does this happen to anyone else?

YES.

Wow I thought that only happened to me..! I think it's because once you have your alarm clock set for a while, your body clock will get used to that exact time that the alarm sets off. I guess this makes the alarm pretty useless after a bit.

I don't use an alarm, I always wake up early

The brain keeps track of time internally, and it knows that it would rather wake up on it's own without the annoyance/ pain of an alarm clock

Sometimes, but I've been waking up earlier on the weekends more recently.

If I'm tired, no.

If i'm not, yes.

I had an alarm for the first few days of school, but I got used to waking up at that time so I just turned it off.
It's still sitting there, waiting to be used again.

Every time I use an alarm.

My sleeping subroutines are entirely randomized and impossible to gauge.

I always wake up at 4:41, 4 minutes before my alarm goes off at 4:45

Yes, this happens to me all the time. It's kind of creepy

Sometimes I'll actually wake up the exact second of my alarm. Eyes and clock work simultaneously.
