That is your personal computer you use for everything from gaming to research, the school is monitoring their hardware they paid for and is suppose to be used for education and education only, if you are doing your work then you will be just fine and theres nothing to be secretive about.

My school has this protection utility called "Lightspeed Systems". The school has a saved record of exactly EVERY SINGLE THING I HAVE DONE ON THE COMPUTER. They can monitor me at any time, any second, and the damn filter is so smart it can scan any kind of programming so it blocks really useful stuff. It blocked http://duolingo.com and classified it as "Adult", although the site is for ages 13+, and has tons of educational value. It also blocks Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and any site that has the word "social" in it. And finally, for students in grade 6th or lower, they have a whitelist, and there is no solution. It loving sucks.
