I just saw the movie, the audience didn't clap at the end.
i thought the movie was good, the audience only clapped when godzilla blew out that atomic breath.

When I watched this movie, 2 things happened:

The movie that was first started was "The Amazing Spiderman 2" it was quickly changed back to Godzilla.

One Godzilla fired his first atomic blast the old lady next to me said "YES!"
