They could go to vimeo or dailymotion or something, but hur dur I can't make as much money so I'll just help youtube do people in the butt instead. At least I get my ad revenue though.

they're being allowed to make a living doing what they love, delivering a service to consumers that they want. that's the free market at it's finest. forget off. just because you like to think something isn't a real job doesn't mean it isn't.

Wow YouTubers are so stupid because in order to make a living they use a service that allows for it rather than use a smaller service simply because its less popular, boo hoo, why is google so mean.

Because too much control of one entity is always bad. Same reason Steam is becoming an issue, as their massive market control allows them to do whatever the forget they want without too much protest.

Steam is the best content management system there is, and that's why people use it. If something better or equally good comes out then people will use that too. This isn't steams fault.

Steam is the best content management system there is, and that's why people use it. If something better or equally good comes out then people will use that too. This isn't steams fault.

No doubt it's the best, but with the tie most people have with the service you can't simply abandon ship and head over to a better system. I've got hundreds of games tied up in Steam, and if they decide to screw us over so be it I guess.

With any company, if they have control over a market, so dominating that competition is dead, in the event an unfair policy is established or they decide to charge more or lower the bar quality wise, the consumer is forgeted.

That answers both questions, its not necessarily the now I'm talking about, its the future.

If you started making money off of your YouTube channel, enough so that you could live off it, you wouldn't abandon Google based on principle. I'm saying its loving moronic to blame it on the users rather than blame it on the company that is the fundamental problem.
