Author Topic: Trying to record a rap to a beat for a school project, a little help?  (Read 455 times)

I always see how some people in studios and stuff have those big headphones on with the beat playing, and they just rap to the beat into the mic and it gets recorded along with the beat.

How do I play and record at the same time so I can do this?

i'm not trying to make some dumb ghetto rap or anything its for my ap calc final project

1. Put on headphones.
2. Play beat through headphones.
3. Record voice in Audacity (or any recording program or device).
4. Sync audio to beat.
5. ???
6. Profit.

4. Sync audio to beat.
the problem is this is actually not very easy

Post it to the cringe channel when you're done.

If you maintain your flow it should be fine. And I never said it would be easy. Don't expect everything to be easy.

the rap is actually incredible. i'm not the writer but the person who wrote my script is a loving genius

open the beat in audacity
hit the record button
rap

oh my god

i tried to sync them
i synced the BEATS together

but at different parts of the song

this is amazing

sing the folklore at the same tempo that your "beat" is at.

open the beat in audacity
hit the record button
rap
...
i probably should have tried this first

big dummy here
