Even if Setro threatened HammerHost, I don't think he should really go around banning people from all servers. It's the customer's decision.

I've blocked Setro's IP address from all HammerHost servers now.
  • He can easily change his IP.
  • You never asked any clients for permission to do so.
  • Some clients might even be friends with him and therfor now have to drop HammerHost.

It's hammer's service, he can basically do what he wants with it as long as he doesn't fling stuff in the process.

alright so let's ban every person that hammer kinda doesnt like from all hammerhost servers because he's not "flinging stuff in the process"
after that, let's ban everyone thats using other hosting services, so they can't join hammerhost servers! its what they get!11!!!!!1!
then let's proceed to integrate code so it bans anyone automatically for saying a specific word.

hammer should be letting people host their servers. its the whole reason why people joined hammerhost, they wanted to be able to host their own server. i hope hammer does not follow your mindset.

I'm not asking for you to kiss my ass and shine my boots, but I don't think such a comment was needed.

noedit: anyway, what you're describing is basically flinging stuff. Also, you're overreacting to one person being banned from using a hosting service who happens to be a problem user.

That is not what is happening here.  Setro represents a threat to the service infrastructure, banning him is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

I agree with this

Exactly.
By the way Zealot, it is absolutely pathetic if a client feels the need to drop their ENTIRE hosting service just because ONE of their friends can't join their server anymore, especially if it's Setro.

And why is there a NEED to ask the CLIENTS if it is okay to ban Setro if Setro is presenting a threat to the entire service, as Badspot said. It is out of the clients' hands at that point.
