My mom actually hates it when I don't cry/show sorrow/empathy for people.  I'm just not an emotional person in any department.  In fact, at two funerals that I went to (both for great-grandparents), I just walked past the coffin, pretty much wished them good luck wherever they are now, and wound up playing tag in the funeral hall with cousins.

No, none of these were too recent lol.  I think they would have been in 2008 and 2010.
