They're still pretty unfair. Where they spawn is still random (i think) and where they move is also random (positive about this) and WHEN they spawn is also random. If it was possible to predict when a smash ball spawned (say, they spawned every 2 minutes in the center of the stage) I think they may have been left in competitive Brawl, but because they aren't predictable, they lead to unfairness

i understand some people have more fun when it's competitive but wouldnt items make it more fun i guess?
