good competitive players don't use the same strategy over and over. they find your weaknesses and abuse them or just outplay you
if they're using the same strategy over and over then they're a pleb
obviously if you dont find competitive play fun then playing against a competitive player with competitive rules (like 2 stocks no items 1v1s or whatever) will be annoying. has nothing to do with the player
