Planet Explorers: what even is this game?

Got planet explorers late last night before the sale ended, booted it up today after work.
I've watched a bunch of videos and stuff, no real idea what the point of this game is. Someone make a megathread or something?

basically you're stranded on a planet and you need to survive and you can design your own guns, swords, vehicles and base.

And there's giant monsters sometimes that you have to kill, sometimes like Attack On Titan or Shadow of the Colossus.
