Avatar not changing

I don't like this avatar and it was only a test thing, I'm trying to switch it back to my old one but it doesn't. When I first tried to switch it to this it took a week just to switch.

Wtf...  Make sure your blockland is not read only, or try running it as administrator if you lack permissions try switching users, assuming u are on a pc.  What do u mean when you ay it took a week to get it that way?

this is happening to everyone, it's annoying

basically the only thing you can do is make the avatar as small in size as possible, and that'll help a bit

A user posted why it may be doing this before.
The only option you have to try is making the image smaller, (I've done a 64x64 and it uploaded the first time versus a 75x75), or just waiting.
