Author Topic: Hundreds of Illegals Moved to San Diego  (Read 3651 times)

This is ridiculous, a judge shouldn't have to hear their stories one by one individually. They should be sent back to wherever they came from. You cant sympathize with people who came to a country illegally without any documentation. That's not how it works in any country, why should it be allowed here? At this stage, we have millions of illegals here living and working in this country receiving any benefits a regular US citizen would receive (which is not fair), but I do think those should stay. It wouldn't be right to deport millions, it should of been done a long time ago. But now we have more huge influxes of illegals coming into the country -- and guess what? They aren't Mexicans, they are mostly Central Americans! The newer illegals though, should be deported automatically without any hearings or evaluations. I don't care if these are kids, they should be deported automatically, it is not right and it is not fair for the people who come here legally.

Awww not again Juan!

There's so much misinformation and so many generalizations in this topic, but I don't really have time to argue about it.

Let me just say that it's good that people can come to America to escape problems in their home countries. America has always been a symbol of that. The solution to this "illegal immigration" crCIA is to reform the immigration system so that there's actually a viable legal channel for these people to use. Of course, then people will just flat-out say that they don't want the immigrants because they're Mexican/Latinos, but at least then the racism will be obvious rather than being hidden under the "illegal" context.
I don't like this whole "melting pot"/"land of the immigrants" schtick.
Most of the people who are actually living in America are not immigrants or even people with immigrants for parents.
I live in America and consider my nationality to be American, not 2/5 italian 3/5 irish 1/5 german 6/2 dutch etc.

Millions of land mines all along your side of the border.
Everyone has to enter through a controlled point.
Do as the Australians do and just sink ships of illegal immigrants.

I'm not justifying illegal immigration, but doing it legally can suck. It can take years and there are a lot of hoops to jump through. I have known people who get separated from their family because they opted to finally do the right thing. After living in this country and being a productive member of society they said, "Let me do this the legal way," to which the government replied, "Leave and try again later."

There is no justification to entering a country illegally - no matter what conditions are like in your home country. Becoming a citizen is hard everywhere, there shouldn't be sympathy felt. What you do is: apply for a working visa, work, stay here for a few years, and gradually wait a few years to apply when you are eligible just like the rest of us.

It's good that they want to come here, but they also have to have the legal grounds to come here. I don't think this is racism, it's not tribal to say that the vast majority of these illegal immigrants are Mexican and/or Central American.

I think it's absolutely right they they be tried on a case by case basis, and have individual decisions made. America was once the place where everyone came to escape things in their own countries, but now they've made it much harder to come here legally. And when they come illegally, they have to hide and force their way in and even then, things like this often happen and they end up deported back to where they were trying to escape.

I think it isn't right to flood the court system with simple things like this with thousands of pending cases. They should all have the same result: automatic deportation. I'm not saying that we should deport the illegals who came here before, but there should be a law where illegals who've came here after a certain year like 2014 or 2015 will be automatically deported. These illegal immigrants abuse the system, and us taxpayers have to take money out of our pockets to pay for their healthcare and education.

It is true though, that America has always been a melting pot. I consider myself to be American, but I go by my nationalities too: Danish, Dutch, English, Swedish, Russian and Afrikaaner, and not but least American.

If only there were seas between the US-Mexican border.

lol yeah right.

put me on one of those third worlds and I'd do everything in my power to leave there quick as possible.

As terrible as many of these countries can be in terms of living standards; you can't kiss up to everyone and give them a free ride. Besides, Mexico isn't even a third world anymore. And you know what? If they so desperately need to leave, they can! All they have to do is pack their bags and send in an application for a regular visa and wait to be approved for a few months, and then they come here and work. It is not as complicated as you think it is. Becoming a citizen though, is a different story.

Exactly. Residency is easy, citizenship can be hard. My father was a legal Canadian immigrant for years, he just got his citizenship a few months ago. It was pretty damn easy, but to be fair he had been living here for almost a decade. Either way, just apply for residency. Pay your taxes like everybody else.

seriously, just my two cents here:
the work they're tasked to do isn't even that bad, i mean i actually worked the equivalent to what most immigrants do in a daily basis this summer and really if you're going to complain about how unfair it is and bitch about how your home is corrupt and accuse anyone who isn't your race that calls your country corrupt, forget YOU. I've met so many scumbags with this stuffty attitude and it makes me sick just seeing them

Why do that when you can just immigrate and live as a citizen without waiting 5 months (at least)? Immigration is different depending on where you're from and what you do. Immigrating from the Philipines can possibly take a couple decades.
No one was talking about Mexico being a third world btw.

morocco and spain would be a better example for a third worlder coming into a first world country

Morocco is only borderline third-world, their tourism industry is huge.

maybe maybe sudan to eygpt? that would be 3rd to 2nd though

I appreciate your strong opinion on this, but when you come to any country as a new migrant; usually you work very hard and work from the bottom up. Also I just want to make this clear: this isn't a racial thing. I don't understand why you guys brought race into this.

Morocco isn't first world, but like Tristain has said: it does have a good tourism industry. Spain however, has been first world for many decades.

I know people who waited 10 years to become an official citizen of the US. It's no big deal. If these illegals can't wait for citizenship, then they should stay where they are or go somewhere else. Also this topic is about illegals and I was referring to Mexico because many undocumented immigrants here happen to be Mexican.

Sudan is without a doubt 3rd world, but Egypt I'd say is mixed.

Yes waiting ten years to immigrate is a big deal?

You're saying that people should just deal with the fact that it's unfair or entirely give up on the idea. But somehow people coming to America illegaly is too much for you to bear, even when it has no real impact on you personally?

seriously it's "no big deal" so you may either disregard it altogether or cope with it.
