Goddamn it, don't remind me how much of a failure of a society we are at cooperating.
Well we as humans are selfish and greedy to a degree by nature, the same holds true. Socialism can work, but it requires that everyone pay taxes(work), and constant adjustment of budget. Nothing is truly perfect in life, everything has flaws. Look at California, knee deep in debt, tons of welfare queens, immigrants. It's a mess. Do you deny services to the unemployed for the workers, or do you share them for everyone at the expense of the workers?
Other problems might include the inability to provide services to everyone. I hear in Canada you might be waiting months for a doctors appointment to be scheduled. The cost of living is generally higher too, so the quality of treatment would vary between doctor to doctor and different parts of the country.
