it's good
you might want to watch the gameplay of the VN first

the anime is decent
it's ~12 episodes and about 25 minutes each

there's also puelli magi madoka magica if you're into cute schoolgirls and happy storylines with even happier endings.

• Spirited Away - One of the most successful Japanese films of all time
• Castle in the Sky - Not to be confused with Howl's Moving Castle
• Howl's Moving Castle - Not to be confused with Castle in the Sky
• Grave of the Fireflies - Super depressing, watch at your own risk
• Kiki's Delivery Service - Kid's movie, but enjoyable nonetheless
• My Neighbor Totoro - Also a kid's movie, but still enjoyable

I haven't watched any of these movies in years, but I remember them being good.
