Because it helps with problems? You complain about us losing braincells but you can't wrap your head around the fact that not everyone wants to take pills that have more side effects than not.

you've been speaking from your viewpoint that your painkillers made you sick, so all pills will make you sick
if that's all they did, they'd have been taken off the market months after they were invented
i took pill-form amoxicillin for a sinus infection and there were absolutely 0 side effects

Okay, that's you. For me I always got side effects so I simply switched to something that works for me.
