nostalgia is literally killing my game experience

i havent played minecraft in ages but i do remember the amazing times i had from my first times of playing it. collecting my first resources, crafting my first pickaxe, and doing lots of fun things and exploring. now, years later i pretty much know everything, and think "wow those times were so awesome, i wish i could relive them" even though i cant, because i just cant think of the game the same way i used to.

do you sort of feel like this sometimes? (not just with minecraft, because we all have different takes on different games so stfu)

some games just can be played over and over and i just don't know why

most people find final fantasy III pretty boring or call it the "mediocre final fantasy" but i just find myself playing through it over and over again. Maybe not with the same wonder or excitement, but there's always fun in changing up your classes every time and experimenting with new combinations and challenges.

I do, however, get that feeling from Minecraft, but I just think it's not my kind of game. I got bored with it after 3 months of Infdev and only play it with friends if they do Skype chats.

and the only thing that gets me to play is the world that's generated. if it has a bad spawn i just cant play it :(
