I don't see why you're applying logic to a horror game in the first place.

If anything, it could just be that the doors are normally open, and are closed with, I dunno, hydraulics?

It'd still be a fire hazard if a very heavy vertical door would be closed in the event of a power outage

Maybe they should get doors that don't need electricity to lock.

even the OP of the topic jumpscared me, screw this

Maybe they should get doors that don't need electricity to lock.
budget cuts don't allow that apparently

i can't even watch someone else play it ;(

another thing is why the hell do you have the fan on if you shouldnt be wasting electricity

solar powered obviously

another thing is why the hell do you have the fan on if you shouldnt be wasting electricity

There's a very small wind turbine in front of the fan that powers it

There's a very small wind turbine in front of the fan that powers it
then what's powering the turbine

The fan and light both consume power.

Oh.
That is irrelevant to his question.
There's no way to justify the door other than "because spooky."

-quotes-
maybe they have night security so that the animatronics don't run off and murder on the streets
instead the guard attracts them to one spot deeper in the building and they try to keep the guard safe as long as possible but still giving the animatronics the illusion of hope of getting in due to the power issues so they won't just run off

this is genius. THIS is horror.

jumpscares are only cool if you earn them, and this game earned them
