New School Timetable Problem

So as many of you know people are starting education again in this period of time.
So I am going to a new school which starts on September 1st, they sent me this timetable with no further explanation:



If someone would explain why there are 2 - 3 classes in a single period. Is it a choice like in Language programs?

it's possible that the classes that are divided up like that are 1 semester classes. my freshmen year had two 1 semester classes and it confused me as to why i had them both listed for the same class period.

Its possible, but then how do you explain Wednesday p5?

Edit: its possible those are a choice.
