To be honest I wouldn't fully call religion a choice.
If you're raised with Christian ideals and been able to generally agree with them for most of your life, eeeh...
I don't dislike Christians in the slightest, in fact I'm sorta impressed by their faith. I do however dislike people who do stupid, irrational, hateful things in the name of their religion.

People in this world tend to freak out if someone is against gays...so that's why I asked that question.

well there's two ways i could interpret what you're saying. the first being a christian disliking gay people but not wanting to deny them the right to marry & adopt and such, the second being a christian who dislikes gays and wants to deny them the rights to the aforementioned. if it happens to be the first, there's really no issue with that because they still support them having equal rights as anyone else. if it's the second, well then there's an issue 'cause i think people (christians, in this case) wanting to deny the lgbt community rights to things, that's more of a problem than a gay person just disliking christians.

As homoloveuality becomes more accepted I will admit the rates may increase a bit.

so in my country, being called gay has sunk to be basically an insult and nothing more meaningful behind it

so obviously at first everyone things it's on the level of cancer (not even jokingly or sarcastically) until someone smacks them hard enough

but, in my opinion there is nothing wrong with being gay, but thanks to the brainwash mentioned above, being around someone gay still makes me unconfortable
