idk why people are including geiger counters, not like there's nuclear holocaust in the US, only thing I insinuated was widespread panic and every man for himself

they are only like 2 pounds and cost like 50 bucks for a basic one thats good enough.
i even carry potassium iodide and an nbc mask. they take little space and weight. basically in any senerio its either a nuclear attack, or anything else that the basic bag covers.
can just ditch things you dont need it it happens.

I'm too young to do anything, so i'm forgeted.

change it so that it has to be stuff you have now. it would be a lot more interesting then stuff you might have in the future. it's just neat to see what people would look like with their current stuff
following your rule i get

5 years from then i'd probably have the same stuff because i'd have died very quickly

Thank you for fully reading the OP
lol that response makes it look like you didn't even read my post. i read the OP and I was suggesting it would be more interesting if you changed it.

Why? The AK47 is an extremely reliable rifle, and you can buy one as a civilian as a semi-automatic. And getting a Class 3 license isn't difficult at all. I fully plan on buying a license for silencers, and I plan on owning multiple firearms, none of which will be wooden-framed.
anyone who purchases a military grade weapon (anything automatic) for reasons other than hunting is mentally ill. it's a ridiculous power fantasy and people who actually own things like AK47s for "defense" are insane.

guns don't work for defense. you are much much much more likely to shoot a family member or yourself than an intruder. statistically you are in more danger if you have a firearm. i think it should be illegal to buy anything of higher grade than a pistol or shotgun for "defense" purposes. hunting is a different matter.

When I think bugout I think Nuclear War.

not what i said at all. i said that people who buy military-grade weapons for defense are insane. i think people have every right to buy handguns or shotguns or other low-class weapons. nobody needs a sniper rifle silencer 16x scope laser sight enhanced ammo mlg noscope for self defense. it's just a redneck power fantasy.

Again for the people who don't read and the clueless:
Uh oh, you summoned me.

Just because a fire-arm looks like a military weapon does not mean its a military weapon. How a weapon looks on the outside is purely comestic. You can buy a legal semi-automatic AR-15 and AK47. The technology inside of them is about 100 years old and functions the same as the semi automatic .22 rifle here:

The wooden part is nothing more than a shell used to house all the components. Now Observe when you remove all those components and move then into a new shell you get this:

Same rifle, same parts, just more scary looking.

Like seriously Zealot, are so edgy that your words cut like a jagged piece of metal.

aren't shotguns like incredibly deadly in a home invasion situation
getting shot by 1 bullet of a military grade rifle is probably different than getting hundreds of pellets shot into you

anyone who owns either of those guns for self defense isn't justified. this isn't a gun debate topic so lets stop arguing already.

if someone owned something like that for hunting it's fine. self defense should be limited to weaker lower level guns.

So what if someone just wants to own one for fun? Or because it's historically significant?

And don't loving tell us to "stop arguing" because you were the one who brought this stuff up.

This is what I would be able to make up with the current stuff here. We have a .22 rifle but not a single bullet for it.

following your rule i get

Kitchen knives
baseball bats

isn't justified
He who goes about exclaiming people aren't justified, is no more justified than those they call unjust.
I will own a pistol for self defense. I will own a shotgun for extreme self defense scenarios. I will own several rifles for hunting, and several more just because the second amendment gives me the right to own them, and because I'm allowed to enjoy using firearms as a past-time

You don't need to like that, and if you don't, please by all means tell me how wrong that is
But don't do it on this thread. Make your own to cry about owning guns.

Not exactly, bullets do not have magic killing properties. All a bullet is, is just a hunk of flying metal that damages organs by passing through them. Think of vital organs like a Heart or lung, even the brain. Also picture the bullet as an arrow from a bow or a knife. Some penetrate better than others, some do more damage than others. It depends of strength of the powder in the casing, the mass of the projectile, the speed at which it travels, and how it passes through a target.

This Mini-14 here:

fires the same type of ammunition as this M4 Carbine here:

One is made for civilian use, the other is made for military. They are both deadly. So basically as long as you can hit your target and strike an organ, you can kill just about everything.

I could never see myself shooting another human being though. Just the thought of a hunk of lead ripping through flesh, tendons, and bone makes me uncomfortable and sick. I just find old guns to be historically interesting and newer guns as just, I guess, 'cool'.
