Author Topic: 9 year old supposedly shoots instructor in face with full-auto uzi.  (Read 5078 times)

simple case of someone not knowing how to use a gun hurting someone
no reason for anyone to get riled up for banning guns

the recoil on most guns would be a bit much for a 9 year old
i'm not exactly a gun expert

At least a 9 year old accomplished something!  :cookieMonster:

A nine year old handling an Uzi seems a bit much, but young kids should still be allowed to use easier guns/weapons under excessive supervision and safety instruction. My eight-year-old sister is in archery.

yep, totally allowed to use a machine that is designed to kill people and drive 2 ton death machines at 16

but they can't drink some alcohol because oh god so bad

First of all why are you teaching a kid at a young age to shoot a gun? this isn't the walking dead or the war in Afghanistan
second of all I am pretty sure the instructor is supposed to be behind the occupant with the gun They do this in the army

third of all the instructor has no ear protection

Wow you're pissed aren't ya

I remembered firing my first pistol, recoil works so much more different than a rifle does. So yeah, for someone who's never fired a gun and has barely any wrist strength, they won't handle the recoil well at all.

that's because of the damage alcohol can do to teen's body

also that has to be one of the worst instructors i've seen
he's not wearing ear protection
he's standing way to close to the person shooting
and he should of had some control over the gun instead of just letting the girl take full control

they said the recoil sent the gun over her head which isn't surprising. i don't know much about guns but i'm pretty sure the recoil on a full-auto weapon would be a bit much for a 9 year old.

Uzi's are very powerful, even for adults. They're difficult to control for adults using them for the first time.
A 9 year old girl probably doesn't have the upper body strength to resist that sort of recoil.

Anyway, I find the funniest thing about this to be that the website for the shooting range is called "bullets and burgers".
Sums up that side of American culture quite well.

According to the owners of the range their instructors are trained to be primed over a person using an automatic (particularly a child or inexperienced shooter) so that they can push the gun back down should they have a problem, to prevent them losing control and shooting upwards or spinning around.

Obviously this instructor wasn't following their own safety procedures and caused the loss of his own life and endangered the girl and those nearby.

Idk, I find peoples boners for guns so weird

"so lets give an inexperienced 9 year old a weapon that kills people and shoot at plastics targets, no one will get hurt nah that happens in movies"

that instructor is the worst ever what kind of safety does he teach? pool safety?
