What event wind is? 
set it up in the brick event to create the wind.  The wind push away the player.
aslo add the particle wind.

weak medium strong
why not 8 direction for the winds

Using Zonebricks should work alright. Just add velocity to a player when they're inside a Zone.

No.  Adding velocity is far from seamless.  Use the numbers where you would make velocity in zone events.  Max is 40,000 instead of 200, iirc.
