can't spell weird without radical

hooray for bein a lazy back door

just thought i would bump this for now because the thread was getting close to being too old to post in any more (i think the limit is 2 months) and i don't want to end up making another thread because i was too busy doin nothing. also I'm not gonna bump it again if I can't get anything done in the next 2 months.

anyways i just bought an sp 404sx sampler on ebay and although i dont think it's gonna keep me from being unproductive it's still something i can't wait to play with :)
I'm becoming that guy who buys a buttload of gear and does nothing with it, and I don't like it...

ok new song finished here it is: !!!click me!!!
tell me what you think

no time for fancy formatting gotta go to the dentist:( will add to OP later.

this is undoubtedly your best work yet, god damn!

when that sample comes in at 2:32, hot damn

My advice to your music is just don't get roostery. I'm not saying you are, but plenty of electronic musicians I know have failed to progress in EDM because they get too full of themselves and think that they have reached a godly level. So just keep studying mixing techniques, and music theory, and just keep on learning. After a quick listen to your songs, the only real suggestion I have is to vary up your percussion and make your beats more lively! Your electroswing things have potential, but there's really not as much swing to it. Overall, good stuff.

I'm not trying to plug my music, but I made an electroswing song about a year ago, and I really played around with the percussion to give it that swing vibe. You can listen here if you'd like to compare and contrast to your music.

yeah i totally agree with all of that. Right now mixing and percussion definitely aren't my strongpoints. If I were to go back to my first couple songs (there's only so many anyways) there's already a lot I would change, and it's only been a year since I made them. thanks for the feedback

yo where the music be

i guess i should update this even if ive only got wips to post

basically every time i get stuck on a song i start making another one so i end up getting like 5 songs going at once and none of them get done so here's this WIP i made last night

here's a new full one to feast your ears on

Why name songs after bleak truths ;-;
I really like how it builds up, kind of sounds like a cricket and a clock ticking away, and I like how the strings work with the guitars, though I'm no musician myself. I think my favorite part is the breakdown at the end.
