How do you select your admins?

I look at the people playing my server, then i look at whos playing and acting well on the server, then i decide if they will be able to administrate my server effectively while i am not there, then depeninding on that decition i give them moderator to see if they actually know what they are doing, then depending on how they do with the power ill either give them admin or super admin status. and all that depends on if i even need admin at the time, which i dont most of the time

I select my admins who are pretty serious and reasonable.

Most of my admins have received admin via my application threads. However, I have a few friends that I trusted with admin.

Friends who don't abuse (which is only 1)
Trustworthy people I'v seen before
People who get their application accepted (Kinda goes with "trustworthy people")

Admins are exclusively players that I'm well-acquainted with and trust with that role. They may also be admins on such a person's server, if I can trust their choice in admins as well.

I used to give admin out willy-nilly like a dumb, and that made a lot of bad things happen.

Close friends and people that can contribute. I've never really been able to maintain a steady team of admins outside of my dedicated SAs, but they've done well in all my servers that get a lot of players.
