Author Topic: The Deepnet - TOR  (Read 3293 times)

Most of the deep web is dead. Anything left is slowly depleting. Just recently the DPR for Silk Road was arrested and the site shut down.

It looks like a pretty sick honeypot. If it's not man the DEA sucks at their job, they should setup a site for trafficking drugs and let it run for a couple months then drop the hammer.

But from what I've heard it consists mostly of weirdo child enthusiasts, people buying drugs, and stuffty scumbags buying stolen CC's.

Deep web is dying cause they've begun switching over to something else.
And what would that be?

probably freenet or something

A pretty chill anon IRC that still has some people

the deepest parts of the deepnet sound brutal

i want to see someone just do some image of layers of the deepnet depicted as being deeper and deeper into hell until you hit the bottom.

It's not something I'd ever use. I believe the stories, I don't have to go see it for myself. It's not something I'd want to invite into my life either. These people can be pretty sub-human. It's some pretty grim stuff and it's not worth it just for the sake of being edgy.
And yeah I don't have any other use for it either. I'm not a creep and I'm not a drug addict. So there's no real point in getting my hands dirty.
i laughed

but what bugs me is that they calculated that the deepnet is way bigger than the surfacenet

That just makes it all the more intriguing. It's like the current internet is built over a previous civilization; like the Old New York from Futurama.

Most of it is really boring and would probably be of no interest to anyone that can't already access it. Or it's private things that they don't want anyone getting, which is a bit more interesting.

The definition of the deepnet is all pages that are not indexed by a mainstream search engine like google, yahoo, bing, duckduckgo, etc.

A good 99% of webpages are not indexed by major search engines because no other websites link to them, and that's how crawlers work.
For example, my own website counts as part of the deepnet because it doesn't appear on a search engine. At least... I don't think it does.
