Creating a datablock deathmatch.

Author Topic: Creating a datablock deathmatch.  (Read 965 times)

Basically I am creating a random datablock deathmatch. Depending on the class you were randomly chosen, you are assigned weapons to kill the others, or friend some.

I would like ideas of what classes there should be, as well as the type of weapons and a specific datablock to go with it as well. Forgot this too, I need to know how much health and regenerate if needed.

If any chance can I get a build as well?

So far as my classes that have been suggested: (I have 7 classes as default)

Explosive Blockhead
Weapon(s): Rocket Launcher | Grenade | Molotov
Health: 300

Total classes so far is 8.

Explosives class. Rocket launcher, grenades, and molotov's.

Explosives class. Rocket launcher, grenades, and molotov's.
I had something like this, but I think this should be a separate class from the other one.

the 1hit wonder
instagib: unable to survive anything more than a single projectile
tradeoff: jets, high movement speed, and a weapon that makes short work of anything

pros:
obviously ludicrous mobility
effecient @ avoiding conflict & dmg
makes for great flag runner/ flanker
rush
ruSH
rUSH

cons:
1 hit death; high fire rate weapons = massacre
geared toward higher skilled players
must rely on dodging, mobility, or body blocking 2 survive
not very effective at holding ground

could have a class the complete opposite of this that makes use of high fire rate weapons and survivability

The pixel mage.

Pros:

  • Medium-High movement speed
  • Medium jump height

Cons:

  • Low health (75)
  • Very bad at capping objectives alone
  • Is dependant of teamwork to be effective

Weapons:

  • Rapid pixel
  • Long ranged pixel
  • Health pixel
  • Deflector pixel

Note: Use the pixel spell mod for the weapons

The Quake player

Pros:

  • Very high mobility
  • Does not get damaged by using his own weapons but still gets knocked away by them (useful for rocket jumping)

Cons:

  • Is very weak to flame throwers or fire attacks
  • Once health is lost, it cannot get regained in any way
  • Once his health is lowered to its half, he looses ½ of his speed

Weapons:

  • Quake rocket launcher
  • Nailgun

Tank

Pros:

  • 1000 health.
  • Immensely powerful one-hit kill explosive punch.
  • Long range burst-fire exlplosive weapon that fires 7 explosives.

Cons:

  • Really slow, small jump.
  • Punch weapon can only fire once a second.  Range is 7 studs.
  • Rapid fire weapon has 7 second cool down.
  • Must stand perfectly still to use weapons.

I think each datablock should have there own chances of the datablock being picked.
